I believe that English-speaking Jews and Israelis are the bridge between Israel and the world.

Let me explain:

Because of language barriers, we have to tell the stories of our people.

They can't read Hebrew news or social media posts.

Language barriers can obscure the reality that shapes our understanding of the world and our actions.

If all the world hears is horrible, twisted lies about "what we do," how will they ever truly understand us?

What's happened to us, what is happening to us right now?

How will they know who we really are: what kind of people we strive to be?

We have to tell the stories.

Of sacrifice and service.

Of love and commitment.

Of loyalty and history.

What makes us unique. What makes us human.

I believe that it's our job, as English-speaking Jews and Israelis, to make the case for our people on the world stage.

Yes, in the news and on social media.

Yes, we need to react to the antisemitism we face. People need to hear that it's not OK. That it's dangerous- for Jews around the world and for all nations around the world- to let h*tred fester and spread.

But I don't want all our storytelling to be reactive.

I don't want the only time people hear about Jewish life to be when someone has attacked it.

And I don't want the only time people hear about Israel to be when we are defending ourselves.

There is so much more to us than what happens to us.

We need to share what we know and what we see.

The brotherhood and sisterhood. The acts of kindness. The dedication and devotion we have to making our world a better place.

This year, I need your help.

I want to do my part to share these realities.

We can't always react over and over to negativity.

We also have a chance to bring out more light.

So if you come across a story that you think I should share, send it to me.

Send me PM's or tag me and let me know when something wonderful has happened.

Something meaningful.

Something joyful.

If it's not right for my page, at a minimum it'll bring a smile to my face.

We have spent an extraordinary amount of time showing the world what threatens Jewish life.

I'd like to spend more time showing them what Jewish life actually looks like.
