Israelis keep shining

While Noam Bettan practiced his performance for Eurovision, he and his team made sure to include the sounds of booing and jeering in the background.

Let me say that again- for rehearsal, they made sure to include anti-Zionist noise- so that he wouldn't be caught off guard when he performed for real.

And it worked, because last night he performed perfectly while there were those in the crowd chanting "Stop the Genocide," and there were even activists who had to be removed from the room.

Noam said that he heard them, but then, "I heard calls from people on our side who were making noise and lifting me up...and it immediately lifted my spirits and warmed my heart. It filled me up, it gave me strength..."

And even though Spain, Slovenia, Iceland, Ireland, and the Netherlands tried to push to kick Israel out of the contest, they failed.

And Noam, who sang in French, Hebrew, and English, represented Israel.

And he qualified for the grand final of Eurovision.

It's so outrageous that you need this is where we are today. This is what we have to fight against.

And yet, Israelis keep shining.

Mazal tov, Noam!

We're so proud of you!!
