It's been quiet here today.

I think most of us are too stunned to make a sound, wiping the lack of sleep from our eyes, squinting in the sun.

The days seem to be a reprieve from the explosive nights.

Where we blink in horror at the damage, the deaths, the injuries.

We can't believe the footage- here or in Iran itself.

How is it such a beautiful day?

Trying to be strong finally caught up with me today. I gave myself a full half hour to cry fat hot tears and let it all out- and I took another to laugh hysterically while I tried to catch my breath.

All emotions are strong today.

I'm not going to be the one to share the news. There are far more meticulous accounts and news stations doing that noble work.

But being that I'm in a deeply emotional state, there is something that I think is important to express.

Gratitude.

When this started on Thursday night, we thought there was a potential of us going into the bomb shelters and having to stay there for extended periods of time. Days, weeks maybe.

We were getting messages from the front to prepare to eat, sleep, and live in the shelters.

But, we have been living in our homes. Eating hot food, using real bathrooms (and not the hole in the floor in the shelter)

We have access to electricity, AC, and news.

WIFI and cell phone service.

Can we just say how miraculous that all is???

There are men and women patrolling the skies from the heavens, the land, and the seas. Underground and eyes everywhere.

But ultimately, it is God who never slumbers and never sleeps.

Who is watching over this land and His people.

Ensuring our precision, our cleverness, our resources, our strategies.

Thank you to the IDF who is fighting like hell to keep us alive.

The operators of the Iron Dome and every other defense system we have,

The pilots in the skies, the boots on the ground, the ships in the sea.

Thank you to the women and men who are holding down the home front,

The volunteers who are keeping everyone fed,

The doctors who are showing up to work,

The grocery store workers who are showing up and making sure there is food to buy,

The pharmacists who are ensuring that medicine is still being dispensed,

The media and journalists who are doing this fast-paced work,

The search and rescue teams, MADA & Hatzalah, who are pulling people from the rubble,

and to the neighbors who keep each other strong and safe,

and to all of am yisrael and allies all over the world for your prayers and support.

We are tired.

We are heartbroken.

We are unafraid.

We are strong.

We will run to the shelters.

And we will leave them with our heads held high.

We are doing God and Good's work in the world.

So take deep breaths.

Hug your loved ones.

Feel today's beautiful breeze.

Be soft with yourself.

And thank God for the miracles of being alive today in a sovereign Jewish state, able to protect ourselves and the entire world from evil.

Am Yisrael Chai.
