The same people, in the same cities, following the same customs

Here is what people don't understand about the Jewish connection to the land of Israel:
When we read our ancient, unchanging texts, they take place in this land.
The cities carry many of the same names, and the geography plays a role in the stories of our people.
When we think about our matriarchs and patriarchs, we can perfectly envision their environments, because it's the same as our own.
The same rolling hills with craggy rocks and vineyards.
Sheep with their shepherds on mountain tops.
Peaks and valleys covered in green.
Wide open fields of grain and almond blossoms.
The shining sea shores and the blue of the Kinneret.
The heights of Jerusalem and the depths of the Dead Sea.
The sand of the Judean desert.
The lushness of the forests from the North to the South.
The blessings of the rainy seasons.
The radiant heat of the spring and summer.
Bustling markets in the cities.
The quiet wildflowers of the small towns.
We live in the same land of our ancestors- we travel the same roads, the same paths that took them all over this land.
Open a bible in any language in the world- and you will find the same people, in the same cities, following the same customs, as 2,000 years ago.
We are an indigenous people who have returned from exile to our indigenous land.
A miracle.
